I'm not a huge fan of the original IoS, but I've never disliked it as much as some people apparently do.Įdit: I found an unmarked secret which opens up the room with Romero's head to make it visible from the platform with all the ammo. None of it is as awkward to play as shooting rockets into the exposed brain of the actual IoS, but I actually find that more interesting and challenging than this. Combat itself is really simple once the route is worked out. ![]() Most of the fun was in figuring out a route. If the player doesn't bother to kill all the placed monsters, then this map is pathetically easy: run forward, spam plasma at a helpless cyberdemon until it dies, run forward again, and you've beaten the map, though there is some risk of being blocked by infinitely tall mancubi.įor UV-Max, though, it's an ok map. ![]()
